What is the impact of understanding the quality of water in a single-stage gas generator?
1. The inside of the water jacket is heated and continuously evaporates and concentrates, providing conditions for the chemical reaction of impurities in the water. Some raw materials decompose at high temperatures, some precipitate at high temperatures, and some crystallize on the surface, causing physical and chemical reactions. Hard deposits are separated and adhere to the metal heating surface of the boiler, which is called scaling. Since the thermal conductivity of scale is lower than that of metal, once the heating surface of the gas generator is scaled, its heat transfer performance will decrease, resulting in problems such as output and fuel waste.
2. Corrosion: When the metal of a single-stage gas generator comes into contact with water, the impurities in the water will destroy the metal surface through electrochemical effects. As a result, these metal parts become thinned, pitted, or even perforated, which is corrosion of the metal.
