The working principle of gas generator

According to the different reaction areas, it can be divided into drying layer, carbonization layer, reduction layer, oxidation layer and ash layer from top to bottom.

In the oxidation layer, carbon reacts violently with oxygen to form carbon dioxide, while releasing a large amount of heat; in the reduction layer, carbon dioxide reacts with carbon to form carbon monoxide, while water vapor reacts with carbon to form carbon monoxide and hydrogen. The generated gas is exported from the outlet on the side of the furnace body, and after dust removal and cooling, it is sent to the gas storage cabinet or directly to the user.

Main types of gas generators

According to the different gasification processes and equipment structures, gas generators can be divided into various types:

Fixed bed gas generator: The coal moves slowly from top to bottom in the furnace, and the gasification agent is introduced from the bottom. Typical representatives are two-stage gas generators and one-stage gas generators. This type of furnace has simple structure and stable operation, and is suitable for gasifying various types of coal.

Fluidized bed gas generator: Coal is suspended by the air flow in a fluidized state, and the gasification reaction proceeds in a suspended state. It is suitable for gasifying inferior coal and small particle size coal with high thermal efficiency.

entrained bed gas generator: Pulverized coal and gasifying agent are sprayed into the high-temperature reactor and rapidly gasified in a suspended state. Suitable for use in large gas stations with high gasification intensity.
