The impact of excessive ash and moisture on gas generators

gas generatorAlso called gas reformer, it is an equipment that provides mixed furnace gas for thermal processing workshops in machinery, metallurgy, building materials, light industry, chemical industry, refractory materials and other industries. The gas generator is equipped with a single-bucket lifting coal loading machine, which uses a double-sealed bell jar coal box to automatically add coal, and a wet ash tray to automatically discharge slag. The grate transmission machinery is all designed outside the furnace body, with reliable operation and easy installation and maintenance. The water jacket and steam drum of the generator are low-pressure equipment. They have undergone design strength calculations and have strict manufacturing requirements. The products are carefully inspected before leaving the factory to ensure quality.gas generatorThe steam produced is used for furnace bottom blast and furnace top fire hole steam sealing. There is no need for external supplementary steam during production to reduce heat energy consumption.

The impact of excessive ash content on gas generators:

       1. Coal has high ash content, which increases the burden of mechanical ash discharge and intensifies its wear.

   2. During the combustion and gasification process, ash hinders the contact between the gasification agent and the carbon, which is not conducive to gasification.

Therefore, when burning coal with high ash content, the main operation should be to maintain the normal gasification layer, keep fire on both sides, run the grate machine quickly and leave room, select the blowing volume according to the ash discharge capacity, and increase the steam entering the furnace, especially the upward blowing steam. If the fire layer moves upward, the blowing volume and blowing percentage should be appropriately reduced.

Effects of excessive moisture on gas generators:

    1. High moisture content reduces the effective ingredients in coal and increases transportation costs.

   2. Due to the evaporation of water, part of the heat in the gas furnace is taken away, which increases the consumption quota.

   3. High moisture causes the furnace temperature to drop and the steam decomposition rate to drop, affecting gas quality.

On rainy days, when the coal is wet, the upper air duct temperature and combustion chamber temperature should be controlled lower than normal to prevent increased air volume and steam deduction due to low temperature on the furnace. During operation, pay attention to the temperature of the gasification layer. Otherwise, it is easy to cause agglomeration, upward movement of the fire layer, shine and even scarring.
