Energy saving measures for gas generators

     Units that use gas generators to provide heat for kilns or spray drying towers must pay attention to this equipment, which greatly affects energy consumption levels.      The saturation temperature of a single-stage gas furnace should be controlled at 56~61°C as much as possible. Properly controlling this temperature will increase the calorific value of the gas and increase the CH4 content in the gas. At the same time, it will be less likely to slag and burn the furnace grate. With this adjustment, the CO may not necessarily be higher, it may only be 28% to 29%, but the calorific value of the gas is increased, which means that less gas is needed, and the coal consumption required for production will be reduced, which will save coal and reduce costs. The saturation temperature of a two-stage gas furnace is generally controlled at 55~63°C, which should be adjusted based on the gas quality and coal type. The purpose is to increase the calorific value of the gas, increase gas production, and reduce coal consumption. If the saturation temperature is low, the oxidation reaction will be violent. First, it is easy to increase the gas outlet temperature and take away too much sensible heat; second, the CO will increase, but the calorific value is not the highest; third, the temperature of the oxide layer is too high, which can easily cause large pieces of slagging, or even large areas of slagging. Fourth, if the ash layer is not controlled well, it is easy to burn out the furnace grate.
 
     The height of the single-stage gas stove should be as low as possible, preferably 1.5 to 1.6 m, and it is best to add less coal and more coal each time. The temperature for adding coal is preferably controlled at 460~480 ℃. The journey of coal in the furnace is lengthened, and the coal layer is thickened. Not only does the gas production capacity become stronger, the reaction is more complete, the calorific value of the gas is higher and more stable, and the residual carbon content of the slag is lower.
 
The residual heat of ash residue should preferably be as low as 250 kCal, the lower the better.
 
Control the gas temperature at the inlet of the pressurized fan, preferably not to exceed 35°C. If the temperature exceeds 35°C, the moisture content in the gas will increase. Burning the excess moisture in the kiln will naturally lead to more gas consumption.
 
It is very important to control coal acceptance indicators. The calorific value of coal should be as high as possible. The higher the calorific value, the more coal will be saved. The mechanical strength of coal should be high, the ash content should be small, the particles should be uniform, the external water should be small, and the sulfur content should be less than 0.5%. The better these indicators are controlled, the more coal will be saved.
 
The gas calorific value, residual carbon content, coal consumption, and electricity consumption of gas stations must be included in the institutionalized reward and penalty management. It is extremely important to select more qualified gas station managers, technicians, and experienced operators, and they are indispensable.
