The device is divided into single tower body and double tower body. It adopts a circular tower body and is connected by flanges. Specifically, it consists of a liquid storage tank, a tower body, an air inlet section, a spray layer, a packing layer, a cyclone defogging layer, an air outlet cone cap, an inspection hole, etc.

Its working principle is to establish an electric field of 45V to 60KV between the settling electrode and the corona electrode to generate a corona discharge between the two poles. When the gas containing dust or tar droplets passes through this space, the dust and tar droplets are polarized and charged, move toward the settling electrode, and after colliding with the settling electrode, they sink to the bottom of the electric tar trap due to their own weight, completing the decoking process.
During the operation of the electronic tar trap, the tar that reaches the inner wall of the sediment flows down the wall. When the tar has good fluidity, it will flow to the bottom and be discharged through the liquid seal tank, and the liquid will return to the main pipe.
