Talk about the impact of coal types on gas production in gas generators

Coal is the core of the gasification reaction of the gasifier. Without coal, it is impossible to produce gas, and the type of coal selected also has a great impact on it. The type of coal selected for gasification not only affects the yield and quality of gasification products, but is also related to the production and operating conditions of gasification. Therefore, when selecting the type of raw materials for gasification, it is necessary to consider the gasification method and the structure of the device. It is also necessary to make full use of resources and rationally select raw materials.
According to the main characteristics of gasification coal, gasification coal in gas generators can be roughly divided into the following four categories.
1. It does not stick or produce tar during gasification. Representative raw materials include anthracite, coke, semi-coke and lean coal;
2. It sticks and produces tar during gasification. The representative raw materials include weakly or non-bonded bituminous coal;
3. It does not stick but produces tar during gasification. The representative raw material is lignite;
4. Peat is used as a representative raw material. It does not stick when gasified and can produce a large amount of methane.
In the process of coal gasification, the contact mode between the gasification medium gasifying agent and the fuel plays a leading role, but the selection and control of process conditions, coal gasification and equipment cannot be ignored, and the characteristics of coal are more important factors, among which the composition of coal is more important. Accurately grasping the characteristics of various coals is beneficial to controlling the actual production process on the one hand; on the other hand, gasification gasifiers mostly use coal transported to the site to produce syngas or fuel gas. This gives the freedom to choose the type of coal, and good economical gas can be obtained by changing the type of coal.
