What common sense should be paid attention to when replacing coal-to-gas boilers?
1. When changing from coal to gas-fired coal-fired boiler, that is, from the original negative pressure combustion to the current slightly positive pressure combustion, attention must be paid to the furnace wall structure and sealing issues.
2. Prevent the furnace from bursting. When converting coal to gas boiler, when the fuel atomization is not good or the incompletely burned gas gathers on the heating surface in the furnace or tail, a fire will occur. Therefore, explosion-proof doors should be installed at appropriate parts of the boiler. At the same time, ignition program control and flameout protection devices should be added to the automatic control to ensure the stable operation of the boiler.
3. If a mechanized layered coal-fired boiler is to be converted into a gas boiler, the front and rear arches should be removed first, and consideration should be given to increasing the bottom heating surface to replace the grate to prevent the grate from overheating and burning out.
4. To prevent high-temperature corrosion, switch from burning coal to fuel oil. Since fuel oil contains organic metal elements such as sodium and vanadium, the melting point of oxide eutectic crystals formed after combustion is very low, generally about 600°C. After these oxides sublime at high temperatures in the furnace, they condense on the relatively low-temperature heating surface to form corrosive high-temperature ash deposits. The higher the temperature, the faster the corrosion. For this reason, during renovation, the heating surface that is susceptible to high-temperature corrosion should be coated with special coatings such as ceramics and silicon carbide. Materials with good high-temperature corrosion resistance can also be used to increase its high-temperature corrosion resistance.
