Analyze the causes of cold operation of gas generators

Characteristics of the phenomenon of cold operation of the gas generator: the temperature of the gas at the furnace outlet is lower than 400 degrees, the black inside the furnace is slightly red when viewed from the fire detection hole, and the oxide layer cannot be detected at all or is not obvious with the drill probe. The carbon monoxide and hydrogen content in the gas tested are very low, while the water content is high. Causes of cold running:
1. The saturation temperature is too high
Due to excessive entry of saturated steamgas generatorFrom the bottom of the furnace to the oxide layer, the temperature of the oxide layer drops, and the amount of carbon dioxide is low, so there is not enough temperature to carry out the reduction reaction. Water vapor cannot be decomposed in the oxide layer, making it impossible to synthesize the reaction with carbon. As a result, the carbon dioxide content in the gas is high, the carbon monoxide content is low, and the water content is high. Due to the low temperature of the oxide layer, a large amount of coal blocks are not gasified. The ungasified carbon accounts for more than 20%, and some reach 30%, which is a huge waste.
When this happens: pay attention to adjust the saturation temperature to reduce the amount of steam entering the furnace for gasification and increase the oxide layer reduction temperature. At the same time, pay attention to the changes in the gray layer. Due to the reduced steam volume, the oxide layer burns more vigorously, which will cause the unoxidized carbon in the lower ash layer to burn and then burn to the lower part. At the same time, the oxide layer burns upward, resulting in a double fire layer phenomenon. To solve the double fire layer, the lower fire layer must be extinguished, otherwise the furnace will be burned out and cause losses such as shutdown of the furnace and production. Ways to extinguish the lower fire layer: increase the amount of steam and run the lower fire layer mainly. After the adjustment is completed, reduce the amount of steam entering the furnace to normal conditions.
2. The coal is too wet and the coal contains too much water.
Because the enterprise's coal yard is not sheltered from rain and snow, the coal quickly contains excessive moisture and enters the gas generator. The generated gas heat dries the newly entered coal, resulting in a large loss of gas waste heat, lowering the gas outlet temperature, causing the gas to contain a large amount of moisture, and reducing the gas quality. If the coal contains too much water and enters the furnace, the water will not have time to evaporate and may flow to the oxide layer and soak in the fire. This situation is not allowed. Therefore, enterprises should take measures to provide rain shelter facilities in coal yards to prevent wet coal from entering the furnace for gasification.
The above two reasons, whether it is the cold operation of the lower redox layer in the furnace or the cold operation of the upper retort drying layer, will reduce the quality of the gas and cause the water vapor content to be too high, resulting in the coal temperature being too low, causing a large amount of tar to precipitate and stick to block the gas pipeline.
