Gas outlet temperature control and reasons in the upper and lower sections of the two gas generators

The outlet temperature of the upper section of the two-stage gas generator is an important indicator. It should generally be maintained below 120°C, and it is more suitable to control it between 90-120°C. Because when the temperature is too high, the following adverse phenomena will occur.
       1. Because the temperature of the gas at the outlet of the upper section is high, it means that the temperature of the coal in the carbonization section is also high. As long as low-temperature carbonization is carried out in the carbonization section, the temperature will be high and it will approach high-temperature carbonization. At that time, the tar viscosity of the produced gas will be greater.
       2. It will cause the fire layer in the oxidation section to move upward, the thickness of the reduction layer to become smaller, the reduction reaction to be insufficient, and the gas quality in the lower section to be low.
       3. It will increase the subsequent processes, increase the load of the intermediate cooling tower, and increase the gas temperature at the outlet of the intermediate cooling tower, which will affect the normal operation of the gas compressor.
The gas outlet temperature of the lower section of the two-stage gas generator should be maintained between 500-600°C. When it is too high, it is mainly caused by the strong gasification reaction in the lower section and the upward movement of the fire layer in the oxidation section. It will cause the following bad phenomena.
       1. If the gas temperature at the outlet of the lower section is high, it will affect the carbonization of the upper section.
       2. The outlet gas temperature of the lower section is high, mainly because the fire layer in the gasification section moves upward and the reduction layer is thin, so the gas quality of the lower section will decrease.
       3. Also because the gasification temperature is too high, the ash and slag in the gasification section are fused and the furnace condition is abnormal.
When the above phenomena occur, it can be achieved by increasing the saturation temperature, absorbing heat in the furnace, and reducing the oxide layer. It can also be achieved by accelerating ash removal and moving the fire layer downwards in the oxidation section. The gas temperature at the outlet of the lower section of the two-stage furnace is too low, mainly because the gasification reaction is abnormal and it is in cold operation. At this time, the saturation temperature must be lowered to increase the temperature of the oxidation layer and the reduction layer to increase the gas outlet temperature of the lower section. We can understand the reasons for controlling the temperature range of the upper and lower gas outlets by comparing the reaction levels in the two-stage gas generator furnaces and the better temperature ranges at each level.
